In June 1999, Lucent Technologies completed the merger with Ascend Communications and created the InterNetworking Systems unit to focus on delivering next-generation, broadband networks

Popular Models we carry are Lucent Max 6096, Max TNT, APX 8000, APX 1000 and APX 8100 Dialup and VOIP Gateways. Configuration Services Available for all models.

Max TNT - Maximum Capacity 960 Ports and supports H.323 VOIP and SIP, the TNT also supports SS7 with third party solution, and is interoperable with the Cisco Gateways (AS5400 and AS5850 series). However, it can not do SIP and H.323 at the same time. Both can be configured either with ATM, OC3, and E3, E1 or T1 PRI interface cards, UDS3 or DS3/CT3 interface cards. The TNT is expandable to 2 DS3s. The TNT supports 2 power supplies.

The Popular TNT-SL-ADI-C (48 port card), and APX8-SL-96DSP (96 port card) are available as spares or upgrades. The voice codecs they support vary so be sure to talk to your sales representative, (96 port card supporting G.711 and G.729. 48 port cards support G711, G723, and G729)

APX 1000 Maximum Capacity 720 Ports and supports H.323 VOIP and SIP, the APX series also supports SS7 with third party solution, and is interoperable with the Cisco Gateways (AS5400 and AS5850 series). However, it can not do SIP and H.323 at the same time. The APX 1000 supports up to 2 power supplies. It can be configured with ATM, OC3, E3, E1 or T1 PRI interface cards, or UDS3 and DS3/CT3 interface cards. An APX 8000 can be expanded to 4 DS3s.

The APX 8000 supports two shelf controller cards giving it additional redundancy. Both can be configured  with ATM, OC3, E3, E1 or T1 PRI interface cards, or UDS3 and DS3/CT3 interface cards. An APX 8000 supports up to 4 DS3s.

MAX 6000 Max6096 WAN Access Switches

MAX 4048/4060 WAN Access Switches

MAX™ 4048/4060 WAN access switches fulfill the needs of small- to mid-sized network service providers and the remote networking needs of enterprises of all sizes. Based on the True Access Operating System (TAOS), these switches are easy to configure and offer scalability, robust software features and the high-performance digital modems needed for building high-density remote networks.

The MAX 4048 product has two T1 interfaces with 48 digital modems. The MAX 4060 product has two E1 interfaces with up to 60 digital modems. Both products combine the functionality of a router, a terminal server, an ISDN switch, and a frame relay concentrator. Enhanced system capabilities provide a migration path from analog modem access to ISDN BRI access. MAX 2012/2024 Multiprotocol WAN Access Switches

MAX 1800 Multiprotocol WAN Access Switches

Series 56 Digital Modem Module

The Lucent Series56 Digital Modem module offers corporations, ISPs and network service providers industry-leading access performance and increased flexibility and extensibility. By incorporating the ITU-T V.90 specification, these modules let subscribers use either V.90- or V.34-compatible modems to download data from a corporate office or the Internet at speeds up to 56 Kbps.

These modules can be integrated into central site MAX and MAX TNT WAN access switches and are available in 8-, 12- and 16-port modules for the MAX and 48-port modules for the MAX TNT. By installing these V.90- and V.34-compatible Digital Modem modules, service providers can be assured that downstream calls travel to the local loop in pure digital format over an ISDN PRI or trunk-side T1/E1 line.

MAX TNT WAN Access Switch
